GUWAHATI, Sept 16: Asom Forest, Environment and Tourism Minister Rockybul Hussain today said the State Government is contemplating on amending the Central Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 (specially for Asom) in order to check poaching in the State. The minister said taking the advantage of the holes in the Act, poachers continue to commit crimes even after they are caught and punished.
