LUCKNOW: With a dying Yamuna failing to meet its growing demand, the city of Taj is now waiting for Gangajal to tide over its water woes.

An ambitious and somewhat bizarre project to fetch Ganga water to Agra built by the Mughals on the banks of the Yamuna from a canal 140 km away in Bulandshahr, was launched in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency in 2005.
