Siliguri, Feb. 17: The main reason behind the tussle over land acquisition in Singur for Nano car factory was the absence of land bank in Bengal, Sandipan Chakravortty, the chairman of the eastern region of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), said here today.
Chakravortty, who is the managing director of Tata Ryerson Limited, was here to attend a CII meet.
