Hearing a PIL by K P Satish Kumar, who has moved the High Court against the illegal quarries at Yerekatter, Harogappa and Bannur villages in Shikaripura taluk, the division bench following the report by DCF Shimoga, has directed for action.
The High Court has directed the State government to initiate action against the quarry contractors strictly in accordance with law.
