July 6: The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, has appealed to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, not to allow private firms decide on natural gas. The Chief Minister wrote a letter to the Prime Minister seeking appropriate action to protect the rights of the state over allocation and pricing of natural gas in the wake of the Ambani brothers waging a legal battle in the Supreme Court.
