The Draft Meghalaya Mining Policy proposed to be implemented by the State Government has been opposed by several NGOs expressing that the policy has certain loopholes which required thorough debate.
On Saturday, concerned land owners and land lessees under the banner of the Joint Forum on the Draft Mining Policy (DMP) met at the State Central Library to discuss the issue.
