MoUs for 12,000 MW power expected [1]

The GIM is likely to witness several companies sign MoUs with the State Government for production of 12,000 MW of power.

Half of that much power, 6,000 MW is expected to be generated through non-conventional sources. As many as four gas-based power projects are also coming up. The total investment in the sector is expected to be Rs 79,140 crore.
