Sep. 9: Heavy rains and floods have damaged 7,842 km of roads in the last three months, according to a state government estimate. The loss incurred by the government due to this is Rs 2,280 crore. It has decided to start repair work on a war-footing basis. The minister for roads, Ms Galla Aruna Kumari, reviewed the extent of damage with senior officials at Secretariat on Thursday.
