Jorhat, March 2: In a bid to provide irrigation facilities to farmers living in the foothills of Assam, the state agriculture department has initiated a pilot project under which sprinklers would be installed to water the fields.
The Rs 68-lakh irrigation project will be implemented in 50 units spread over Dhemaji, Jorhat, Nagaon, Kamrup and Kokrajhar districts.
