The health department has asked the municipal corporations to ensure proper follow-up of individual malaria or dengue cases that are reported at its health centres. The department has also wanted that the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) ensure a double check of any mosquito control measures that are undertaken at the ward level. This includes fogging, spraying of insecticides, collecting smears and examinations and follow-up of fever cases that are reported at the urban health centres.
