Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Subhash C. Pandey Vs. Municipal Corporation, Bhopal & Ors. dated 04/03/2014 regarding Shahpura Lake pollution in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The Tribunal has directed the Executive Engineer from the Municipal Corporation, Bhopal, Sr. Research Officer of EPCO, the Applicant accompanied by Shri Shantnu Saxena, Advocate as Commissioner on behalf of the Court, to visit the area jointly and put forward their suggestions by way of a report containing a rough sketch for the proposed alterations or any proposed construction for ensuring that solid waste is not allowed to flow into the Shahpura Lake and also preventing silting from upstream of the Ekant Park and ensure improvement in the water quality before it enters into the Shahpura Lake at various points.
