Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Rahul Nagar Vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 01/09/2014 regarding illegal and unscientific sand mining on the river banks of Yamuna. The counsel for the Applicant has produced before the Court a letter dated 19th August, 2014 addressed by the Assistant Engineer to the Station House Officer stating that plying of truck filled with sands on the Jagatpur Bund may cause damages to the bund itself which shall render the nearby residential area vulnerable to flood.
