Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Dipak Mondal Vs Pollution Control Appellate Authority, West Bengal & Ors. dated 08/07/2015 regarding residential area functioning/operation of poultry, hatchery and piggery as mentioned in Sl. No. 55 of the list of industries under ‘green category’ issued by West Bengal State Pollution Control Board is justified, in view of the fact that the poultry farm is causing air pollution and affecting the health of the people in the residential area.
