Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Dr. Subhash C. Pandey Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 09/09/2015 regarding expansion of Phase-II of the Industrial Area in Mandideep which is in close proximity with Bhimbetka, a world heritage site.
The Tribunal also asked the respondents as to whether there is any plan for identifying the nature of industries i.e. likely to be installed and established in the Phase-II and whether issues like the high level of pollution in the river Betwa as also Ambient Air Quality have been taken care of while planning the Phase-II.
