Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of R. D. Anand Vs. Chandigarh Union Territory Administration & Others dated 04/11/2015 regarding municipal solid waste management in the city of Chandigarh.
The city of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula being excluded, generates 370 metric tons of municipal solid waste. There is a plant of waste to energy at Chandigarh which has a capacity of treating 270 metric tons of waste.
