Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Hasmukh B. Parmar Vs Bharuch Nagar Palika, Baruch & Ors dated 07/03/2016 regarding waste management in Bharuch, Gujarat. Application states that Bharuch Nagar Palika are not transferring rubbish and waste from various areas onto the land earmarked for the purpose.

NGT in its Order asked for a Committee to be constituted which shall comprise of (a) the Collector, district Bharuch, (b) Professor from NIT, Surat, who is well conversant and dealing with the subject of environmental protection or environmental science, and (c) Senior officer of DILR and submit a report to the Tribunal stating the quantity of waste on the sites indicated in the Application.
