Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mushtakeem & Others Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 05/04/2016 regarding mining in the river bed of Yamuna, Haryana. NGT directed the State of Haryana, State of Uttar Pradesh, MoEF, Ministry of Mining (Departments of Mining) to take a clear stand before the Tribunal on the next date of hearing (21/04/2016) as to what they understand of mechanical, semi-mechanical and manual mining with reference to the mining in river bed of Yamuna and flood plain and its consequences thereof on the environment and ecology of the river particularly with reference to the lease areas.
