Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding housing construction work over waterbodies, Keyadaha village, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, 14/03/2017 [1]

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Bishnu Pada Pakhira Vs Member Secretary, West Bengal Pollution Control Board & Others dated 14/03/2017 regarding housing construction work over waterbodies, Keyadaha village, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

NGT said that the question that arises is as to whether the actual construction work of the complex commenced before the law i.e. East Kolkata Wetlands (Conservation & Management) Act, 2006 was enforced.
