Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Govinda Biswas Vs State of West Bengal & Others dated 09/05/2017 regarding discharge of sewage directly into river Rupnarayan by Hotel Sonar Bangla. Also photographs and google images shown by Govinda Biswas indicates that the Hotel is situated right on the bank of river Rupnarayan which is in serious violation of CRZ notification.
NGT directs West Bengal State Coastal Zone Management Authority to inspect the hotel to verify the ground situation and submit a report before the next date of hearing (03/07/2017).
