Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Om Dutt Singh & Others Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 06/07/2017 regarding Kanhar Irrigation Project in District Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh.
National Green Tribunal directs the Project Proponent and the State of Uttar Pradesh to file complete and detailed affidavit in relation to compliance of the conditions imposed by the High Powered Expert Committee’s Report. Further, they should also clearly state in relation to each State (Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh), the status of the Resettlement and Rehabilitation (RR) Scheme and its implementation, the number of persons covered, cut-off date, the amount demanded and the amount paid. They shall also state in relation to catchment and command area falling within the canal scheme as well as dam.
