Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Saurabh Kumar Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 29/11/2017 regarding sand mining in Uttar Pradesh. Counsel appearing for the State of Uttar Pradesh submits that the Notification dated 2nd November, 2017 is for a very limited purpose by which land owners of agriculture land would be permitted to remove the sand deposits as a result of flood and it does not permit any mining activity as such.
