Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gurpreet Singh Bagga & Others Vs. MoEF & Others dated 04/12/2017 regarding illegal mining of minor minerals in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Counsel appearing for the State of Uttar Pradesh upon instructions from Pankaj Kumar Singh, Mining Officer, District Saharanpur submits that the restoration and restitution work directed by the High Powered Committee will be carried on and areas where degradation or environmental damage has been noticed by the High Powered Committee constituted by the Tribunal, the State of Uttar Pradesh would exclude such pockets while granting mining permission for the current year.
