Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Karim Jahangir Shaikh Vrs. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board & Others dated 29/11/2017 regarding consent to operate granted to the sugar industry - Sahakar Maharshi Shivajirao Narayanrao Nagawade, Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd.

The Court notes that the Appeal has been preferred after the period prescribed for filing the same under Section 16 of National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 i.e. of 30 days lapsed. Delay incurred in filing the Appeal needs to be explained appropriately so as to furnish sufficient cause for condoning the delay.
