This study prioritizes battery-based Electric Vehicles (EVs) for the public transportation sector—a sector where the accelerated early-stage adoption of EVs can be fostered through public-sector intervention and set the trend for large-scale EV adoption. With a large consumer base in India dependent on public transport, the shift to EVs can lead to cleaner and more sustainable transport systems.
