Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gauri Maulekhi Vs. State of Jammu & Kashmir & Others dated 23/05/2018 regarding finalizing and implementing the Rehabilitation Scheme for people engaged in carrying pilgrims to the Vaishno Devi shrine on horses and mules, which have now been prohibited.
NGT expresses displeasure with the Status Report filed by the State of Jammu & Kashmir before the Court and directed the Secretary of the State of Jammu & Kashmir to answer for the default committed by the State in the implementation of the Rehabilitation Scheme.
