Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kaushambi Apartments Residents Welfare Association (KARWA) Vs. U.P. Pollution Control Board & Others dated 20/08/2018. The matter relates to pollution on account of vehicular emissions, illegal parking, encroachment of road and pavements, use of diesel generators in violation of CPCB standards in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. A report was filed by the DPCC, UPPCB and Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation which called for long term and short term measures to be taken to control/minimize the pollution generated during the different activities in and around of the affected area. With a view to implement the recommendations NGT directs for the constitution of a Committee for implementation of the recommendations.
