Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Gram Mahmood Garhi & Gasupur Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh dated 12/09/2018 regarding pollution being caused by burning of rubber tyres in a factory, for production of fuel oil, adjacent to the habitation of village Gesupur, Tehsil Mawana-via-Kithor District Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. As the alleged activity is clearly in violation of Air (Prevention& Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, apart from other laws for which action is required to be taken by Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, NGT directs the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board to examine the facts and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
