Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Confederation of Trans Hindan RWA’s Ghaziabad Vs U.P. State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 19/11/2018. This application seeks direction against dumping of garbage and disposal of the garbage collected at Shakti Khand-4, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. [2] The Applicant states that no site is specified as dumping ground in the Master Plan of Ghaziabad 2021. The garbage is being dumped and burnt. There was a huge fire in the garbage on 20.10.2017. The area is now regulated by the Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad. Garbage collected from Indirapuram, Vasundhara and Vaishali is dumped at Shakti Khand, adversely affecting the air quality. There is non-compliance of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

National Green Tribunal orders constitution of a joint committee of representatives of the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad, the Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Municipal Corporation Ghaziabad and the State Pollution Control Board to prepare an appropriate action plan in the matter and execute the same.
