Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding violation of the orders of the Tribunal which had prohibited holding the festival of Chhat Pooja in the Rabindra Sarabor Lake, West Bengal, 09/04/2019 [1]

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Calcutta Citizen’s Initiative & Others Vs Chief Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Govt. of West Bengal & Others dated 09/04/2019 regarding violation of the orders of the Tribunal which had prohibited holding the festival of Chhat Pooja in the Rabindra Sarabor Lake.

NGT directs a team to be constituted consisting of the Chief Secretary of West Bengal, Senior Officer from the Department of Environment, West Bengal, CEO, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Area, Commissioner of Police and District Magistrate to probe the matter and submit a report within two months.
