Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ram Ji Vyas Vs Union of India & Others dated 15/05/2019 regarding non-forest activities like mining in the forest of Mandore, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The NGT had asked for original revenue record for the purpose of the demarcation of forest land. But the Tehsildar submits before the Court that they have not been able to trace the orginial record of relevant jamabandi and the revenue trace map. NGT directs the Tehsildar, Mandore to approach the Registrar, Board of Revenue, Ajmer for seeking his assistance so as to know where the relevant record would be available and in the meantime as already ordered on 27.02.2019, the entire area would be treated as forest land and no mining or any kind of non-forestry activity shall be done in the area, till it is demarcated, in accordance with the relevant record.
