Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikas Arun Bhor Vs Maharashtra Pollution Control Board & Others dated 22/05/2019 regarding discharge of hazardous chemical waste water in the open spaces around the industry - K2 Metals Private Limited and also storing of hazardous waste in unscientific manner. Due to percolation of this waste and hazardous waste in the ground, the well water of the applicant - Vikas Arun Bhor was getting polluted to such an extent as to result in infertility of soil and non-use of well water.
The NGT directs the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), regional office, Pune to submit a report on the factual aspects with report of action taken if any within one month and the inspection should be conducted at the earliest and before the onset of monsoon.
