Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aditya N. Prasad & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 17/07/2019 regarding appropriate enhancement of staff strength and infrastructure for the Forest Department of Delhi in terms of order of the Tribunal dated December 10, 2015.

Report submitted by the Chief Secretary, Delhi shows that forestry staff strength has been increased from 108 to 398, ministerial staff strength has been increased from 22 to 36 and there is also increase in the infrastructure. NGT directs that the sanctioned posts be filled up at the earliest and order sanctioning further infrastructure also be made operative. Further, the Chief Secretary has been asked to file a compliance report and "also get analysis of the available staff and the staff required for executing the functions to meet environmental challenges to be faced by the Forest Department."
