Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pramod Bahadur Vs North Delhi Municipal Corporation & Others dated 08/08/2019 regarding pollution caused on account of unregulated slaughter of pigs. According to the applicant, 2000-5000 pigs are slaughtered in a day without specific and dedicated place and in the process 25000 liters toxic blood is emitted.

NGT directs submission of a joint factual and action taken report from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) and North Delhi Municipal Corporation (North DMC) within one month. The DPCC would be the nodal agency for coordination and compliance.
