Action taken report by the Delhi Jal Board of June 15, 2020 against illegal extraction of ground water at Maya Puri for commercial purposes after survey in compliance of National Green Tribunal order in the case of Nand Kishore Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi in OA No. 970/2019.

The report informed the Tribunal that around 141 illegal bore wells were found, out of which 91 were sealed. The DJB said in the report that the remaining illegal bore wells could not be sealed due to lack of police force for protection, provided by Delhi Police to sealing teams comprising of revenue and DJB officials. Due to containment duty and thereafter lockdown since March 25, 2020, no further sealing programme has been scheduled till date.
