Grievance in this application is against the violations of environmental norms in the operation of stone crushers by Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. at village Banala, tehsil Aut, district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It is stated that there is violation of siting criteria as the stone crushers are within the prohibited distance of Tirthan river, National Highway, government school, reservoir of Larji dam (126 MW Larji hydropower project), Great Himalayan National Park and Tirthan Wildlife Sanctuary.

The NGT directed the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board, PCCF (Chief Wildlife Warden) HP, Director, Department of Environment and District Magistrate Mandi to look into the matter and take action as may be found necessary.
