Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Raja Muzzaffar Bhat Vs U.T. of Jammu & Kashmir dated 08/07/2020. Grievance in the application was that there was dumping of municipal solid waste in Wullar lake around Ningli Tarzoo in Baramulla district in Jammu & Kashmir. The lake in question is a wetland and a Ramsar site and thus an eco-sensitive area.
The NGT directed a factual and action taken report be filed by the Member Secretary, State Wetland Authority, Collector, Baramulla and the State Pollution Control Board.
