Action taken report on behalf of Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad and the Haryana State Pollution Control Board in compliance with the National Green Tribunal order September 3, 2020. The matter related to failure in taking remedial action against collected garbage and sewage on the bank of Uttar Pradesh-Agra canal resulting in damage to the environment.

The NGT had directed the District Magistrate, Faridabad, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad and Haryana State Pollution Control Board to furnish a factual and action taken report. The Municipal Corporation, Faridabad visited the site, opposite Modern DPS School on November 9, 2020 - only C&D waste was found. The C&D was lifted and used for the purpose of filling low lying areas.

A 40 team of sanitation department has been constituted by the Municipal Corporation, Faridabad for making challans of boring, littering and dumping of solid waste. Further, with respect to stagnant water, it was submitted that sewer line work under AMRUT Scheme has been allotted to carry out the sewerage load of MCF sectors falling on western side of Agra Canal.
