Joint Committee report as per the National Green Tribunal (SZ), Chennai order, 21/05/201 regarding dumping of waste along Tambaram-Maduravoil by-pass road starting from Irumbuliyur to Maduravoil and upto GNT road junction. During inspection, no bio medical waste was found dumped along roadside in the Tambaram Maduravoyal by-pass road from Tambaram to Madhavaram.

Only municipal solid wastes and expired food products were found dumped and also being burnt at Irumbuliyur, Tambaram. Municipal solid waste was found dumped in the Tambaram-Maduravoyal by-pass road. Waste was also found dumped on the service roads leading to Thiruneermalai, Kovur, Porur, Maduravoyal and Nolambur.

The committee found that solid waste is being dumped in the non-habitation areas, so it has become difficult to trade the individuals dumping the waste. During the inspection visit, it was observed that the warning board has been placed by the Tambaram municipality - where the solid waste is still being dumped. In the warning board, it is written that the area is under camera surveillance but the committee was unable to identify any camera near that area.
