Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sher Singh Vs Govt. of Himachal Pradesh dated 08/07/2021. The issue is related to illegal encroachment of government land in Himachal Pradesh.

The NGT, September 28, 2018 had sought a report from the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla and the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Himachal Pradesh. The report of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, December 27, 2018 was that proceedings for removal of encroachment were pending. The NGT directed that the state authorities must take action promptly in view of the long delay which has already taken place.
