Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zone Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Tribunal at its own Motion Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 06/10/2021.
The matter related to discharge of untreated water/sewage water into the water body named Mansarovar Lake and it is alleged that sewage water is being continuously discharged into the water body and no remedial action are being taken by the state authorities.

The matter has been pending before the court since 2017 and the Tribunal observed that nothing material has been done by the state of Rajasthan or the SPCB. The NGT, October 6, 2021 directed the state of Rajasthan, SPCB and collector, Jaipur to submit factual and action taken report and listed the matter for November 10, 2021.
