Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of P. G. Sethuram Vs State of Tamil Nadu dated 11/11/2021. Grievance in the application is against illegal operation of a stone crusher – Erode mines at survey No. 733/2, 734/2, Senapathipalayam village, Kangayam taluk, Tirupur district, Tamiil Nadu, on agricultural land, in violation of environmental norms. According to the applicant, the said unit is functioning close of the residential houses, check dam, temples and causing damage to the environment.

In view of the above, the NGT directed the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to look into the grievance, take remedial action in accordance with law and furnish an action taken report within two months before the Southern Bench of the NGT.
