Response by Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd in the matter of T. M. Umshanakar Vs Union of India & Othes dated 11/02/2022.

An application was filed alleging violations by Ramky Enviro Engineers in setting up and running of integrated common hazardous waste treatment storage and disposal facility at Karnataka waste management project.

The applicant has also alleged violations of the EIA Notification 2006. The Joint Committee in its report has found the facility to be ecologically sound and in accordance with all the environmental laws. The site was elected and finalized by the state agencies and it was allocated by these state agencies for establishment and operation of the facility and that the site selection meets all the requisite criteria and is thus in consonance with all laws.
