Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kamlapat Vs Uttar Pradesh State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 08/08/2022.
The matter related to failure by the Uttar Pradesh State Pollution Control Board in taking action against a stone industry in Mahoba district for causing pollution. The applicant has stated that in violation of conditions, blasting is going on day and night causing noise pollution, air pollution and other violations damaging the environment. It is also alleged that dust is accumulating on agricultural fields and stones are also coming down from hilly track to agricultural field.

The NGT directed submission of a factual report from a joint committee comprising the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and the District Magistrate, Mahoba within two months.
