Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Daljeet Singh & Others Vs Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board & Others dated 28/09/2022.
The NGT, September 28 noted that steps are not being taken in pursuance of the court order to stop illegal mining and directed the District Magistrates, Shamli and Saharanpur and Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board to take further action if not taken so far and file an action taken report within two months.

Grievance was that inspite the order of the NGT, May 11, 2022 directing stopping of illegal mining and recovering compensation, illegal mining is continuing and compensation is not being recovered.
