Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ishita Foundation Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change & Others dated 12/10/2022.
The matter related to grant of EC in favour of M/s Tesmus Trading Private Limited in respect of sand mining project on Yamuna river area, village Ghadiwa Majhigawan, tehsil Khaga, district Fatehpur, measuring 25.00 hectare with annual quantity of 2,50,000 cubic meter.

The contention of the applicant is that the requisite procedure such as preparation of district survey report, mining plan, environment impact assessment, environmental management plan and public hearing have not been followed.
The NGT directed the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) Uttar Pradesh and the project proponent - M/s Tesmus Trading Private Limited to file a reply within two months.
