Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zone Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Aarya Shrivastava Vs Union of India & Others dated 09/11/2022.
The Bhopal Municipal Corporation was directed by the NGT to initiate necessary action for removal of encroachment on the upper lake, Bhopal. The action needs to be taken within a time frame.

The Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board was also directed by the court to "to take necessary actions for realisation of environmental compensation against the encroachment under the relevant rules and calculate the environmental compensation," the NGT said, November 9, 2022.
