Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Hariom Singh Rana Vs State of Haryana dated 16/03/2023.

Grievance in the application is against illegal trade of polythene which is banned. Plastic waste which also includes hospital waste is brought to land at village Bajghera, Tehsil and District Gurugram which belongs to Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and is burnt, resulting in damage to environment.

Considering the above, the NGT directed the Haryana State Pollution Control Board, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and District Magistrate, Gurugram to look into the matter and take remedial action in accordance with law. The SPCB would be the nodal agency for coordination and compliance.
