Action taken report filed by the Haryana State Pollution Control Board in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order, May 31, 2022 in the matter of Dheeraj Singh Vs State of Haryana.

A complaint was filed before the NGT which said that during the construction of flyover going on near 20th Mile Stone, tehsil Rai, district Sonipat, the contractor during a period of three months had laid fly ash on the site for filling. This was polluting the nearby areas.

The NGT had directed the constitution of a joint committee comprising representatives of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and the Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat to look into the matter.

During the inspection, the representative of the NHAI contractor said that after receiving the complaint they had immediately adopted various dust mitigation measures to control air pollution and also covered the whole fly ash with soil. The flyover was found operational for public use and during inspection no fly ash was present and no construction work was under progress.
