Report by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi regarding municipal solid waste management in 15 unauthorised colonies in Sabhapur. In these colonies, the garbage is being collected in the dustbin and garbage boat being provided by the Metrro Waste company, the concessionaire.

The colonies are densely populated and there is no land of MCD available for collection of municipal solid waste and for construction of fixed compactor transfer station, material recovery facility, public toilets and Paryavaran Sarvekshan Shelters. The streets of all the colonies are katcha and no drains have been constructed. The cleaning and lifting of garbage in these areas are being carried out by the sanitation department, Shahdara North Zone on a daily basis.

17 unlicensed meat shops have been sealed and encroachments removed, said the report.
