Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zone Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Amit Kumar Panchal Vs CMO, Nagar Palika Parishad Rau, District Indore & Others dated 15/02/2024.
The matter related to dumping of solid waste in the trenching ground at AB road, near Sanskriti Royal Park Colony, Indore district. It is said that dead animals are thrown in this place. The applicant expressed fear that the solid waste dumping in the trenching ground during the rainy season may cause the pollution of the underground water.

The NGT called for a report from a two member joint committee comprising representatives of District Collector Indore and Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board. The committee has been directed to submit the factual and action taken report within six weeks.
